Experience

For more that 15 years, I taught high school English, writing, humanities, and general music. During most of those years, I taught in one of suburban Philadelphia's highest rated school systems: the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. Many former students identify their time in my classes as being pivotal in their growth as writers and critical thinkers. For more than two decades, I have intermittently tutored a wide variety of high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in writing, literature, grammar and mechanics, music theory, and instrumental music (guitar, mandolin, and bass).

Hobbies

Music - I play guitar, bass, and mandolin. I currently perform with the Philadelphia Mandolin Ensemble, and I am the musical director/conductor of the Munier Mandolin and guitar Orchestra. Oudoors - I enjoy hiking and exploring near my cabin in Sullivan County, PA. Cooking - I enjoy trying out ethnic restaurants and exploring new recipes in my own kitchen.
