Dwight Young has an eclectic and encompassing education of Film and Theatre, and is an active writer. During his time at Keene State College he crafted an Individualized Major combining those subjects. He rigorously defended his major, involving justification for the specified curriculum, and for a capstone project he wrote and performed a musical that integrated the mediums, with some scenes filmed and projected while others were performed live. At MassArt Dwight focused on more avant-garde filmmaking, involving handmade film, performance-based films, and video installation. He also gained experience as a teaching assistant for several film related classes here. Dwight spends the majority of his free time writing stories, scripts, music/lyrics, and poetry. He is an Eagle Scout, and graduated his BFA with high honors.
